KR Droneworks Academy

Advanced RPAS Airmanship Training

What’s required to qualify

  • Pre-existing License: The program is designed to follow initial licensing. While it covers test-prep topics for U.S. and Canadian exams, it is intended for those ready to go "beyond the license."

  • Age: The app and program are rated for ages 16+.

  • Time Commitment: A "60-day evolution" requiring about 10–15 minutes per day of micro-training via the mobile app.

  • Technical Requirements: An iOS or Android smartphone to access the 3D Airmanship app and the "Viper 7" AI mentor.

Other Important Information

  • The "3D" Philosophy: The program stands for being Disciplined, Decisive, and Deliberate.

  • Viper 7 AI Mentor: A 24/7 aviation-specific AI assistant built into the app to answer technical questions and assist with mission planning in the field.

  • Certification: Upon completion of the 60 modules and quizzes, users can become "3D Certified," a designation meant to signal a higher standard of airmanship to employers and insurance providers.

Who this is for

  • Licensed Drone Pilots: Specifically those who already have their FAA Part 107 (US) or Transport Canada (Basic/Advanced) certificates but want to bridge the gap between "passing a test" and "professional aviation."

  • Fleet Managers & Chief Pilots: Organizations looking to standardize safety culture and reduce risk across a team of pilots without significant operational downtime.

  • Serious Career Pilots: Individuals aiming for complex operations like BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) or those wanting to move from being an "operator" to a professional "aviator."

  • Public Safety & Commercial Crews: Those operating in high-stress or high-stakes environments where judgment is as critical as technical skill.

What you’ll be able to do

  • Master Professional Judgment: Move beyond just "flying the camera" to managing the mission using the same decision-making frameworks used by military and commercial airline pilots.

  • Decode Complex Data: Quickly interpret weather (METAR/TAF), NOTAMs, and aeronautical charts using the "Viper 7" AI mentor.

  • Manage Stress & Resilience: Use specialized training from world-renowned expert Dr. Paul Stoltz to assess your AQ (Adversity Quotient) and perform predictably under pressure.

  • Implement Advanced SOPs: Use provided professional templates for mission briefing/debriefing, emergency "Initial Action" (IA) procedures, and "Fit-to-Fly" criteria.

  • Standardize Fleet Operations: For managers, it allows you to ensure every pilot on your team follows a unified, disciplined, and deliberate process.
